KMT Tri-Valley Classic, April 2012

What a fantastic day for the first KMT schooling show. The sun was shining, the ponies were perfect and the riding was great! This show was so organized, well thought out and the awards couldn’t get much better. Thank you Alison and Kelly for putting on such a fantastic show. This is how all schooling shows should be. I want to say thank you to everyone for all of their hard work, but especially to Alexis for helping me with the trailering and Emma for being my Assistant for the day. You both were a giant help and were always there when I needed you.

Catie and Belle competed in the Pile of Poles division and came home CHAMPION. Despite missing one of the poles in her first poles class, Catie really impressed me with how well she handled it. I think she has been working on her ‘game face’. She has been working hard and it paid off. Way to go Catie!!

Jenna and Lizzy also competed in the Pile of Poles division and came home RESERVE CHAMPION. This was Jenna’s first ‘away’ show and couldn’t have ridden better. Learning new courses in a new arena can be a little challenging, but Jenna proved that working through a new challenge can be quite rewarding.

I can’t wait until the next KMT schooling show!

Capitol City Horse Show, 2012

What a wild week up at Leone’s Equestrian Center! Despite the crazy weather, we had a fantastic show! Thunder and lightening rocked the show on Thursday and Friday…and so much rain. The horse shows management team worked hard on preparing the rings and getting us show time over the weekend. Fortunately, we are a competitive group, so we took our game to the bowling lanes when we were rained out…so much fun!

Here are the show highlights…

Emma Tyrrell and Palladium looked amazing…love these two together! They started out their show by WINNING the NorCal 3’6 Medal…a great ride and work off! They also received nice ribbons in the other Big Eq Medals…nice job Emma!!!

Amanda Rael and Almost Famous also had an amazing show! They ended the week CHAMPION in the Low AO Hunters, WINNING 3 of 4 over fences classes…you rocked it! On top of that…Amanda WON the Foxfield Medal…and is now looking forward to the finals! Congrats!!!

Emily Johnson and her new horse, Tapatio, had their first show together and they looked amazing! A big thanks goes out to Jenny Williams for finding us this adorable horse…we love him! Emily spent the week getting to know Tio in the Long Stirrup Division…ending the week CHAMPION and WINNING the Hunter Stake class…so cool!!!

We had such a fun week! Our riders and horses were super stars…so proud of them all:-)
